Job Title: LabVIEW & MATLAB Test Engineer

Position Summary:

We are seeking a Test Engineer with hands-on experience in LabVIEW and MATLAB to support the development and execution of automated test systems for medical devices. This role will focus on lab-based test setups and systems integration for validation and verification of catheter-based and other electro-mechanical systems. You will work in a collaborative R&D environment, supporting product development and system testing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot LabVIEW-based automated test systems
• Implement data acquisition and control systems for product validation
• Use MATLAB for data analysis, signal processing, and reporting
• Interface with test instruments (oscilloscopes, DAQs, pressure transducers, etc.)
• Execute test protocols and document test results per medical device standards
• Collaborate with R&D engineers to define test setups and requirements
• Maintain accurate lab documentation, wiring schematics, and equipment logs

Preferred Backgrounds:

• Prior roles as: Test Engineer , Lab Technician , LabVIEW Developer , Test Systems Engineer , or R&D Technician
• Successful candidates have come from medical device or industrial automation backgrounds
• Prior internship or early-career experience in test engineering roles highly valued

Qualifications:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering , Physics , Biomedical Engineering , or related field
• 2+ years experience with LabVIEW in a hands-on lab setting (CLAD/CLD certifications a plus)
• Proficient in MATLAB for data analysis and visualization
• Familiar with common lab test equipment (oscilloscopes, signal generators, DAQ systems)
• Experience in developing automated test procedures
• Understanding of basic electronics, circuits, and instrumentation
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with engineering teams
• Comfortable with light scripting or test control logic (no heavy programming required)

Nice to Have (But Not Required):

• Exposure to Python , C# , or similar languages for test automation
• Familiarity with medical device regulations (ISO 13485, FDA QSR)
• Experience using National Instruments TestStand
• Hands-on experience with mechanical test fixtures and sensors
