People & Culture Business Partner

QUICK FACTS

• Location: HYBRID- San Diego, CA (Scripps Ranch)



• Pay: $80K-$100K



• Permanent position

EXPERIENCE YOU WILL NEED

• 5-7+ years’ experience in Human Resources, specifically People & Culture



• Bachelor's degree required- preferable in human resources, business, communications, psychology, or related field



• Prior experience working in HR in California is required



• PHR or PHRca preferred



• Paylocity or similar HRIS preferred

MAIN DUTIES OF THE JOB

• Manage compliance with local, state, and federal labor laws—including California labor law, regulations applicable to federal contractors, and employment laws in other states where the company operates



• Address employee and company concerns with compassion, consistency, and equality, handling all employee relations respectfully



• Manage LOA process and ADA accommodation requests



• Administer required trainings (anti-harassment, OSHA)



• Update and maintain the employee handbook to uphold current law, company culture, and internal policy



• Assist with employee benefits-related activities
